constantly changing.
never enough.

it’s what the media is good at. and they are really really
good at it!

materialistic
norm of the masses.

the debt trap for the young.
.
the escape from boredom for the restless.

the entertainment that it has become.

shopping!

there is something about those simple

that just makes me feel good.
just very happy and good. i love that picture and those white plates.

the idea of them that touches every part of the

but the simple white plates signify and remind me . . .
of the fact that if it ALL blows away tomorrow
in a tornado
which . . . given where i live . . .
is entirely possible.
not only possible but in the springtime
even probable!

should that ever happen . . .
i will be just fine.

and the white plates are easy to replace.

they are inexpensive.

there is an ease to not wanting a lot of things.
to not being
owned
by a lot of things. even if they’re very beautiful or rare things.
they are still
things.

to not be owned by a lot of things is rare in itself in today’s world.
but
there are more and more of us now all the time.

word is getting out that life is more than the things you own!
it truly can be! it’s exciting. and fulfilling. and enlightening.

it’s relaxing.
and freeing.
and refreshing.
just like the light in the picture of the white plates.
